1940s Cardboard Displays

Based on the package designs and graphics these signs could be as early as the 1940s or into the late 1950s.

Counter Display

The counter display on the left, taken from a sales catalog, encouraged an Old Spice stocking stuffer.  On the right an actual counter top rack. I do not think the product shown is original to the display, however.

Cardboard Ship Display

Inflatable Bottle

This inflatable bottle is 30" tall and 11" wide at the bottom. It has a cord on top to hang it from the ceiling. The bottom has a hard plastic piece so it also stands up as well.

Cast Iron Ship

This is a cast iron version of the Ship Friendship about 11 inches tall.  It was used as part of the Old Spice advertising and was taken from an old drugstore in North Carolina.

These posters measure 30 by 60 inches and appear to date from the 1940s.

Printer Blocks

These printer block images were provided by a collector.  The blocks were used to produce printed Old Spice material.  There is no end to the stuff a collector will latch on to!

Plastic Ship Store Display

This is probably a post-1980s display since the ship is a more modern racing yacht.

Store Signs

These signs range from 3 to 6 feet.  I know the one on the bottom is wood; others may be heavy cardboard or metal.

Hair Cream Poster

This is another post-1980s display sign because of the updated racing yacht motif.
